About the Artist

Many decades ago, immigrants Rose and Bill Waldman opened a millinery store on Main Street in Nyack, NY.  Among the gloves, hats and handbags, Rose and Bill sold gorgeous costume jewelry, some of which they themselves designed.  Years later, Alison discovered boxes and boxes of vintage Swarovski crystals that her mother, their daughter, had collected after her parents had died.  One holiday season, Alison created necklaces for all her female family members, using some of these beautiful beads.  She discovered a hidden passion and now enjoys creating affordable jewelry reminiscent of high end designs.  She lives in South Orange, NJ with her husband and two sons.
